What is Copilot Pro and How to Subscribe to it

The world’s most successful companies are betting big on the transformative power of AI right now. Microsoft is certainly one of them. Microsoft has slowly integrated AI into its ecosystem, starting with Bing Chat AI and then transforming it into Copilot. We are now witnessing the next step – Copilot Pro.

What is Copilot Pro?

Individuals can subscribe to Copilot Pro, unlike businesses that can subscribe to Copilot for Microsoft 365.

This is a subscription to the AI companion Copilot that includes additional features.

You get the following benefits with Copilot Pro:

  • AI performance has been accelerated.
  • DALL-E 3 creates AI images faster with a greater number of boosts (100 per day), better image quality, and landscape image format.
  • Microsoft 365 subscribers have access to Copilot in Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, and OneNote. You can create presentations with Copilot Pro in your Microsoft 365 apps.
  • Access to priority resources. What does priority access entail? It’s exactly what it sounds like.
  • Copilot Pro subscribers will soon have access to a GPT Builder that they can use to build GPTs that are tailored for their specific needs.
  • In peak times, free users will only be able to access GPT-3.5, while Pro users will have access to GPT-4 and GPT-4 Turbo (OpenAI’s most advanced model). Users of Copilot Pro will also be given priority when it comes to receiving updates or accessing the latest language models.

If you want to write, code, design, or research, Copilot Pro can help you, since it has more advanced features than the free version.

Access Copilot Pro:

You can access Copilot Pro in in Bing Chat or copilot.microsoft.com, the sidebar in Edge browser and Start menu in Windows.

Currently, it’s available for Windows, macOS, and iPadOS, as well as in apps like Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Outlook, and OneNote. iOS and Android apps are not yet supported, but they will be soon.

Copilot Pro can also be accessed through the web browser on your iPhone or iPad, but not through the Copilot or Bing apps.

How Does the Copilot Pro subscription work?

You cannot use Copilot Pro as part of your Microsoft 365 subscription. The Copilot Pro subscription must also be purchased separately by users sharing their Microsoft 365 subscription through a Family plan.

Even if you buy a Copilot Pro subscription using the same Microsoft account that you use for Microsoft 365 Family, only you will have access to Copilot Pro within the Microsoft 365 apps. If you share the family plan with other users, they will need to purchase Copilot Pro separately.

Availability:

Copilot Pro is currently available only in Austria, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Switzerland, Germany, Spain, France, United Kingdom, India, Italy, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand and the United States. In the future, the company plans to expand the service to more countries.
